Andrei Zincă about Haralamb Zincă:
“As a young man, he had been an adventurer; at 17 years old, he had fled the country, in order to know the great revolution in Russia and he ended up in Uzbekistan. That is where the war got him and he enrolled as a volunteer in the Red Army. He got to see many things and put them on paper in his journals. Furthermore, he had an incredible imagination which, after the frontline diaries and war memories, led him to espionage first and then to the police cases. I can assure you that everything was pure imagination, of course, except for the document books. There were cases when the Security or the Militia asked him to explain the source of the details or of the casuistry. As we see nowadays in films, in my father`s case, the imagination preceded the reality sometimes. He had access to historic archives, he was able to read some files which gave him an idea about how the system worked, but the characters and the plot were 100% fictional.(evz.ro, 2013)
