Sergiu Huzum

  • Born: 30.11.1933 in Focșani (Vrancea)
He was a DoP with the ”Alexandru Sahia” Studio for Documentary Films. By the end of the 60ies he invented the Transtrav cinematographic device which he perfected with the help of engineer Toma Radulet. This cinematographic effect patented by Huzum bears also the name of Vertigo Effect or Dolly Zoom. He makes use of his discovery, for the first time, in the Romanian multi prized long feature Duminică la ora 6,directed by Lucian Pintilie.
