The director Jamil Hendi, who also wrote the screenplay, attended the press screening of his feature film The Visitor / Vizitatorul, which was out in the cinemas starting with the 20th of April. He was accompanied by the two actresses Oana Irina Duțu și Andreea Boșneag.
From our visit on the shooting set in 2015 until this premiere, the film travelled to several festivals. Jamil Hendi has made a few genre films so far – Suicide me! / Sinucide-mă!and Friday Evening / Vineri seară, the first one a short film thriller and the second, a feature film. He doesn`t want to stick to this kind of stories, but it`s how his ideas came together for these first films, as he confesses. The Visitor is the story of a young couple that moves to Bucharest, in an apartment whose previous tenant simply dissapeared. The mysterious appearances and dissapearances, the strange sounds and a general state of confusion create a scart atmosphere. Alexandru Popescu is the cinematographer of the film, Jamil was in charge of the film editing as well and the sound design was signed by Alexandru Ovidiu Stoica. The feature film is produced by Realdreh Productions, in association with AJJA Film.
