Open Documentary Session 6 will open on Thursday, 26 May, at 20.00, at Ambasada (2 Anton Seiller Street, Timișoara), with the documentary Citizenfour (directed by Laura Potras), about the days full of tension that Snowden spent in a Hong Kong hotel. Admission will be free of charge.
On Friday (27 May, at 16.00) and on Saturday (28 May, at 10.00), at the City Business Centre (Piaţa 700, Corp E, mezzanine), TRANSMEDIA EXPRESS will be held, a program bringing together documentary film authors and producers and technology and IT experts, in order to find new means of expressions for the
interactive documentaries –
storytelling in the digital age.
Furthermore, the documentary feature project
Hands-on “Dudești, where are you? will be presented, which has development potential as
web-documentary or
game-documentary. The presentation will be attended by journalist Vlad Odobescu and director
Florin Iepan. The subject follows the story of the commune Dudeștii Vechi, a village in Banat that survived collectivisation, deportation and transition period chaos.
The event is organised by the Documentor Association and supported by the National Filmmaking Centre, by the County Council of Timiș and by the City Hall and Local Council of Timișoara.
