SEECS Short Film Festival presents student films in free public screenings at UNATC (str. Matei Voievod, nr. 75 – 77, sector 2).
The official opening of the event is on June 28, at 19:00 (Atelier Hall). The first films in competition will be screened same evening. The screenings will continue on June 29 and June 30, from
14:00, in the same location. The gala ceremony and the screening of the awarded films will take place on June 30, fat 19:00.
SEECS Short Film Festival is a SEECS (South-Eastern Europe Cinema Schools) initiative.
Having reached its fourth edition (the first three took place in Istanbul), the festival is a cultural-educational platform and it represents an event by means of which the most recent student productions are brought to the big screen. With the presence of the festival in Bucharest, starting with this year the organizers intend to inaugurate an endeavor that might have continuity. The festival speaks to the professionals (film critics, film and arts professionals) and also to the large audiences interested in good quality films on the big screen.
The participant universities are: UNATC “I.L.Caragiale” Bucharest (the Film Faculty - organizer), NATFA Sofia, Bulgaria, IKU Istanbul, Turkey, HCTTS Athens, Grecia, AFMM Tirana, Albania, FDU Belgrade, Serbia, AAB Belgrade, Serbia, ADU Zagreb, Bulgaria.
The jury will include:
Roxana Stroe (director, Romania), Bulent Kucukerdogan (film professor at the Gaziantep University, Alexey Hristov – Bulgaria.
The foreign guests of the festival are students and professors from the participant film schools.
The organizers are: the “I.L.Caragiale” University of Theatre and Film School, Bucharest, The City Hall of Bucharest and ARCUB.
