„Cinemateca Românească” (Romanian Cinematheque), an event organised by the Romanian Cultural Institute (ICR) in London, screened, on March 30th, the feature
Prin cenuşa imperiului (Through the Ashes of the Empire), directed by
Andrei Blaier.
The screening is part of the events dedicated to commemorating the centenary since Romania's fighting in the First World War.
Romanian Cinematheque is one of the permanent programs of CR London, meant to lay focus on Romanian movies, new and old, many of them never screened in UK. The screenings, held monthly, are set up in partnership with the National Filmmaking Centre (CNC) of Bucharest.
