CineMAiubit 2016 Awards


     The 20th Edition of CineMAiubit International Student Film Festival, a jubilee edition, marking a continuity that became tradition, awarded its prizes on Sunday, 11 December, at Cinema Elvire Popesco of Bucharest.
     The Festival is being organised by “I.L. Caragiale” National Theatre and Film University (UNATC) of Bucharest, by the Town Hall of Bucharest Municipality and the Cinemaiubit Foundation, with the support of the National Filmmaking Centre (CNC), of the Romanian Filmmakers Union (UCIN), and of the French Institute in Bucharest.
     Several workshops were held during the Festival, both at UNATC, and at CINETic (UNATC's Research Centre): miniMIDPOINT – intensive screenwriting workshop delivered by Hungarian director and professor Csaba Bollok, Banana Animation Workshop – film and animation workshop delivered by professors Matei Branea, Mirela Vlad, Valeriu Căliman, special make-up effects – workshop delivered by Serbian professor Lidija Trisovic Milinkovic, Cine-Ritm – a collaboration between UNMB and UNATC, a programme during which the composition students and director students made up teams for creating original film music.
     The Festival also held a special screening of the “Looking China” international student film programme.
