NexT Generation: „The World is Mine”, „Banana” and „Afterthought” 


     The anniversary edition of NexT International Festival brings within the NexT Generation section three debut full-length features made former contestants.
     The first one is the debut feature by director Nicolae Constantin TănaseLumea e a mea (The World is Mine), and the other two will represent premiers in Romania.
     Banana, directed by Andrea Jublin, is the story of a naïve boy, who wants to win the heart of the girl of his dreams by tutoring her. The only problem is he is not doing so great in school as well.
     Afterthought, the debut full-length feature by Elad Keidan, entered into the official selection of the Cannes Festival, is the story of two men from Haifa, who climb up and down the Carmel Mountain in opposite directions, one in search of his wife's lost earring, the other eager to become a writer, though he has to join the army.
     Furthermore, the three directors, Andrea Jublin (winner of NexT 2007 Trophy, Oscar-nominated), Elad Keidan (NexT 2009 Trophy) and Nicolae Constantin Tănase (winner of Villa Kult Award in 2010), present in Bucharest as special guests of the Festival and members of this year's National Competition Jury, are to have talks with the viewers on how it is to direct a full-length feature for the first time. The talk will be held on Sunday, April 9th, starting at 2:30 pm, at the Romanian Farmers' Club.
