She founded Cinelab, the place where the film for the Romanian and international productions is processed. We always see her at the film festivals from Romania where awards for cinematography are given. Cornelia Popa is a very active manager and she can speak for hours on end about her profession, because she is passionate and because she has determination. He experience as a film editor in Buftea helped her convince the Kodak managers to open in Romania the first film processing lab in the world. When the economic recession made the Kodak management give up this activity, she was the one who found the saving solution – a foreign investor, Rodrigo Ruiz Tarazona Diaz, who bought the lab for the Cinelab International Group.
People call her “the mother of the lab” and she takes it with humour
