Transilvania International Film Festival (May 29 – June 7, 2020) invites filmmakers to submit their projects to the newest edition of TRansilvania Pitch Stop (TPS), the largest programme dedicated to the film industry at TIFF.
This year, TPS has again two components:
an international co-production platform and a
development workshop; both of them are dedicated to filmmakers ambele dedicate cineaștilor aflați la primul sau al doilea lungmetraj.
In the international co-production programme, ten projects in development signed by 1st and 2nd time filmmakers will be presented to the industry professionals (producers, distributors, sales agents, representatives of film funds, etc.).This program is destined to the filmmakers from Romania, Hungary, Bulgaria, Serbia, Ukraine, Russis, Moldova, Greece, Turkey and Georgia.
To be eligible, projects must be designed from the outset as a European co-production, other than in purely financial terms, between at least two member states of the Eurimages Fund (ideally, but not mandatory, between states from the countries mentioned eligible. The project must have at least 15% of the budget secured.
The big prize, the 20,000 EUR worth Eurimages Co-production Development Award, will be given by an international jury made of experts and a Eurimages representative. Other awards will be announced before the beginning of this edition.
For the TPS development workshop only 1st and 2nd time filmmakers from Romania and Moldova can apply. From June 1st to 6th, the directors and producers of 5 selected projects will be invited to Cluj-Napoca, where they will be part of a marathon-workshop of 6 days.
Split into working groups and guided by the TPS trainers and experts, they will identify efficient ideas to “sell” the project in front of potential partners and financers and they will prepare their pitch. They will also receive consulting on the script and dramatic structure level.
