CINETic is setting up a workshop for programmers and designers interested in virtual reality and borderline technologies.
The workshop has 6 places for programmers and 6 for designers, who will have the opportunity to experiment and develop a novel project on a 3D CAVE (Computer Assisted Virtual Environment) immersive projection system, starting from themes proposed and established together, under the supervision of the CINETic researchers.
The researchers will present the equipment mode of operation, their utility and general applicability, and will introduce the software to be used. The teams will have at their disposal all CINETic resources in order to experiment the solutions according to the challenges that may arise. The end result will be present to a large audience and proposed to various specialised festivals from Romania and abroad.
The workshop is to take place between 1-10 July 2017 at CINETic headquarters, 3B Tudor Arghezi Street (behind the National Theatre). Programmers, 3D designers, scenographers, animators, illustrators and architects may apply to the programme. They must submit their CV, portfolio and a brief presentation of an immersive project to secretariat.cinetic@unatc.ro, until 28 June 2017, 23.59 hours.
