Romanian film productions, will take place on June 29, in is the first outdoor edition in the history of the Gopo Awards Gala, an event organized by the Romanian
Film Promotion Association, together with the Urban Film and Culture Association. The 14th edition of the Gopo Awards Gala scheduled for March 24, 2020 was
postponed in the context of the prevention measures and restrictions taken by the authorities this spring. The voting process involving more than 600 specialists of the
film industry will continue on the platform which was made available by the organizers, together with the main festival partner, PwC.
”The film industry was profoundly affected by the economical crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. The Gopo Awards Gala which celebrates the Romanian film productions of the previous year, intends to raise awareness on the situation of this field that is so important for the Romanian culture and economy, as well. The event
dedicated to the film industry will take place in conditions of maximum safety for the participants, in open air, following all the protection measures required by the
authorities” Alexandra Boghiu, the Gopo Awards Gala coordinator said.
