From the 14th until the 24th of November the Romanian Cultural Institute organizes the first edition of the Romanian Film Festival in China, in three dfferent locations: Beijing, Shanghai and Xi`an.

The event takes place according to the protocol signed in 2014 by the Romanian National Film Centre and the State Administration for press, publications, radio, film and TV in China and will include the films:
Sieranevada (directed by
Cristi Puiu),
By the Rails (directed by
Cătălin Mitulescu),
Kyra Kyralina (directed by
Dan Pița),
To Paris with the Identity Card (directed by
Șerban Marinescu) and
Carmen (directed by
Doru Nițescu), as well as the documentary
Discover Romania cu Peter Hurley, made by the National News Agency, Agepress.
The festival is organized in partnership with the National Film Centre, the Romanian-Chinese House, Cinemagix, The Romanian Cultural Institute in Beijing, the Embassy of Romania in Beijing and the Romanian Consulate in Shanghai.
Two opening galas are scheduled, on the 14th of November in Beijing and on the 17th of Npvember in Shanghai, in the presence of many Chinese and Romanian officials and of many representatives of the film industry from both countries. The following people will be part of the Romanian delegation which will go to China: the directors Dan Pița, Cătălin Mitulescu, Șerban Marinescu, Doru Nițescu,
Nicolae Mărgineanu, the actors
Ada Condeescu și
Dorel Vișan, the producer Bogdan Moncea, Bogdan Ficeac (general manager of DACIN-SARR), Anca Mitran, general manager of the Film Center, Carmen Tripăduș (director Cinemagix), Tibi Haliță (director of the Romanian-Chinese ).
After the screening of the films in Beijing (14th-16th of November), the films selected by the Chinese partners will also be screened in Shanghai (17th-19th of November) and in Xi`an (the 20th-24th of November).
