“Two Lottery Tickets”, screened at Arkadia ShortFest 2017


     The comedy Două lozuri / Two Lottery Tickets, directed by Paul Negoescu, is to be screened for the first time in Băicoi, at the 4th edition of Arkadia ShortFest International Festival. The film, which carries on the tradition of the Festival to organise, for Prahova-based viewers, a special screening of a Romanian feature film, will be presented in the unconventional cinema space of the Camexip Plant on Saturday, 2 September, at 22:00. It will be preceded by the screening of the short Forevers, directed by Raya Al Souliman, and produced by Paul Negoescu.
     Arkadia ShortFest has in its programme this year a selection of shorts from all over the world - Brazil, Iran, Portugal, Spain, Poland, USA, Australia, Turkey, Bangladesh, Romania. Pipa, sexul și omleta / Pipe, Sex and Omelette (directed by Ana-Maria Comănescu) is the only Romanian short in the competition. The non-competition section will screen other five Romanian films: Sechestrați fără voie / Sequestered Against Their Will (directed by Tudor Botezatu), Scris / Nescris / Written/Unwritten (directed by Adrian Silișteanu), Tuns, ras și frezat / Half Shaved (directed by Bogdan Mureșanu), Offstage  (directed by Andrei Huțuleac) and Drawn (directed by Andrada Iacobeț).
     The official opening of this 4th edition will take place on Friday, 1 September, from 20:00, at the same time with the inauguration of ExpoShortfest. The opening will be attended by the Mayor of Băicoi town, Marius Constantin. The screenings of the four groups of shorts will start at 20:30. Admission to the film will be free of charge, within the limit of available seats.
