Documentary Mondays returns – now, at home

“Documentary Mondays”, the screenings series organized by the Czech Centre moves online. In June, the audience will be able to watch four Czech documentary films from home, on the dafilms platform. Moreover, the program becomes ,
international, being organized together with the Czech Centres in Berlin and London.
On June 1, “Documentary Mondays” starts with Trabant: There and Back Again (directed by Dan Přibáň, 2019), a documentary about three adventurers set
on a journey around the world, using an unusual means of transportation – the Trabant. The expedition starts in India, continues in Nepal, crosses the Himalayas
and arrives in Pakistan, China, Uzbekistan and then across Russia and Ukraine to Slovakia and home. There are many tough moments, but the crew faces all
obstacles with black humour.
The documentaries will be available in Romania for free, for 24 hours, starting with 8 a.m., on Mondays. In order to be able to watch the documentaries, you need to
create an account on the dafilm.com website. Discussions with the authors of the films in the program will take place live, on Monday evenings. The participation details will be offered on the Czech Centre Facebook page and on its website.
