The city of Cernavodă will host for a week the “Romanian Film Caravan – Masterpieces of the National Cinema”.
Between 15-21 September 2016, the audience is invited each night, starting at 19.30, in Piaţeta Centrului Civic (Civic Centre Square), to watch a series of beautiful and significant Romanian features made over the latest years.
The features included in the programme approach, with humour or tenderness, various aspects of love, in
Dincolo de calea ferată/By the Rails (directed by
Cătălin Mitulescu), or presenting Andrei Filipov's (an internationally renowned conductor turned janitor at Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow) love for music or loyalty to friends in
Concertul/The Concert, a film that brought
Radu Mihăileanu numerous awards or nominations at prestigious international film festivals, such as the European Film Academy Award or the César Awards. In the comedy
Doar cu buletinul la Paris/To Paris, with the ID Card (directed by
Șerban Marinescu), s sports teacher, who has saved all his life to be able to visit Paris, loses the trip and all his money.
The audience may also see

Carmen (directed by
Doru Nițescu) and
Cel ales/The Chosen One (directed by
Cristian Comeaga).
The viewers to attend the open-air screenings in Piaţeta Centrului Civic will have also the opportunity to meet the special guests of the “Romanian Film Caravan”:

Nicodim Ungureanu and Doru Niţescu.
