Cannes 2016: the Romanian-French Co-operation Convention was signed


     On May 15th, 2016, in Cannes, the Co-operation Convention between the Romanian National Filmmaking Centre (CNC) and the French Le Centre national du cinéma et de l'image animeé, a document providing for the application of a common policy in cinematography.
     The main purpose of the Convention is facilitating the experts' exchange, the drawing up of juridical instruments and the professional training, as well as the conservation of the cinema patrimony and the circulation of work between the two States. Under this Agreement, Romania will exceptionally benefit from the expertise of the French National Filmmaking Centre, which will allow our film industry a further development in compliance with the quality of the films produced by Romanian filmmakers.
     To the signing of the said document, the following took part: Audrey Azoulay, French Minister of Culture and Communication, Christophe Tardieu, General Manager of CNC France, Corina Șuteu, Romanian Minister of Culture, Anca Mitran, General Manager of CNC Romania, Luca Niculescu, Romanian Ambassador in Paris.
