Ada Solomon, the new executive producer of the European Women’s Audiovisual Network


     The producer Ada Solomon takes over as EWA (European Women`s Audiovisual) Network`s Executive Producer from the director Isabel de Ocampo. The mission of the network is to promote greater gender equality for women audiovisual professionals in terms of access to and opportunities for employment and funding throughout Europe. The EWA mission is to create a strong community of women audiovisual professionals who share their experience and provide mutual support, as well as to promote the visibility of female-driven audiovisual content in general and of EWA members in particular.
     Every year, the European Women`s Network gives awards at different festivals, such as: DOK Leipzig (International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film), “When East Meets West” Trieste Film Festival and La Coruña Film Festival.
     Over the past years, Ada Solomon has been involved in many activities with EWA Network, such as moderating the debate on “Gender Representation in European Films” in Berlin, in 2014, holding the Masterclass at EWA members` annual gathering in 2017 and being part of the mentoring scheme for emerging women producers in Trieste in 2018.
     Ada Solomon is also a member of the board of the European Film Academy and an EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs) national coordinator.
