Premiere of 48-hour Film Project Brașov 2016


     Filmmakers from all over the world are gathered this weekend, 5 – 7 August, in Braşov, in a race to establish who will make the best short in only 48 hours. The team of the film to win the title of „Best City Film 2016” will enter the international competition Filmapalooza 2017in the United States, together with features from all over the world competing for the title of „Best 48 Hour Film 2016” and for the grand prize amounting to $ 5,000. Ten of the best features included in the 48 Hour 2016 tour will be screened at Cannes Film Festival, within Short Film Corner 2017. The teams entered in the comp
etition must write, shoot and edit a film in only 48 hours. On Monday 8 August, the winners will be designated. The films entered into the competition will have previews at the Grand Hall of the Reduta Cultural Centre, Braşov, starting at 19.00. The winners will be announced during the same night.
The Jury of 48HFP Braşov 2016 is made up of actress Ana Maria Moldovan, choreographer Bianca Oichea, actor Iustinian Turcu, Alina Floroi, cultural promotor, and poet Robert Elekes. After viewing the films in the competition, the audience will vote for their favourite, which will be granted the Audience Award Trophy.
The tickets are available for sale on the night of the event, at the venue's entrance, starting at 18.00. Price: RON 10.
48 HFP is the biggest film creation competition initiated in the USA and set up currently in 130 cities over 6 continents.
