Submissions for Bucharest Docuart Fest were wrapped up. With over 70 documentaries in the preselection stage, made during 2015–2016, Docuart Fest announces for this fall 6 days of cinema diversity between 27 September–2 October.

As during each of the previous years, the Festival will be hosted by Eforie Cinematheque and by the Romanian Farmers' Museum Cinema.
During the preselection stage, 23 documentaries were admitted in the students' section, 35 in the main section and 14 in the TV documentary section. The films to be selected by the preselection commission will be screened within the Bucharest Docuart Fest 2016 programme, together with other documentaries outside the competition, but entered to new sections that are to be revealed.
„The fifth edition brings many novelties that are a must-see for film lovers. The event will present numerous premieres, documentaries that may be viewed only at dedicated festivals, as well as master class sessions, debates, meetings with directors in a pro-active setting, and many other elements that we will announce as we go,” Daniela Apostol, director of the Festival, stated.
Bucharest Docuart Fest 2016 enjoys the support of the Ministry of Culture and of the National Cinema Council, following its selection at funding contests. The event still keeps its free of charge admission to all activities carried out.
