During 4 – 8 May, in Buzău, the first Edition of the Buzău International Film Festival - BUZZ CEE is to be held, dedicated to productions originating from Central and South-Eastern Europe.
At this first Edition, BUZZ CEE has launched an invitation to producers and filmmakers from Romania and neighbouring countries, to sign up their projects in three competition sections: full-length, short and documentary features. The winners will be awarded the Trophies Long BUZZ, Short BUZZ and Real BUZZ.
The projects can be signed-up online, at www.buzzcee.ro, or through the Film Freeway portal, up to April 1st, 2016, 5.00 pm (Romania time).
The selection will be made by film reviewers Florin Barbu and
Cristi Mărculescu.
The winning projects are to be chosen by juries made up of cinema professional from Romania and from neighbouring countries, and the audience will be invited to vote for their favourite feature, which will be awarded the Pop BUZZ Trophy.
The Festival will be hosted by actors
Andreea Vasile and Dan Bordeianu.
The screenings will last for five days, in three central locations of Buzău city: Dacia 3D Cinema, George Ciprian Theatre and the Hall of the Buzău County Council. Entrance to all Festival screenings will be free of charge.
The high school students of Buzău who wish to work as BUZZ CEE volunteers are invited to send an e-mail to voluntar@buzzcee.ro, including a short presentation of themselves and of the reasons why they want to be part of the BUZZ CEE team.
