Synopsis: Two engineers compete for the love of their employer's daughter. One of them tries to kill the other by preparing a train accident, but his plan eventually leads to a sensational chase scene.

Engineers Radu Corbea and Mihai Grozea, the employees of industrialist Matei Daiu, are both in love with beautiful Marietta, their boss's daughter. Corbea, breaking the rules of the contest without compunction, stages a train accident in order to kill his rival. By happy coincidence, Marietta is taken on a plane trip by a friend. From up there, she spots Corbea while disconnecting the railroad. After a sensational chase, the accident is prevented from happening. Surprised by Grozea's appearance, whom he believed dead, Corbea makes a reckless move and gets caught under the train's wheels, being torn apart, thus justifying the title: "The Revenge of the Steel".
