Graduated in Philology at the University of Bucharest and Opera Direction at the Music Academy. A novelist, member of Writers' Union of Romania. Screenwriter, his film career started with the scriptwriting team he formed with
Cristi Puiu. Together they wrote the scripts for
Stuff and Dough and
The Death of Mr. Lazarescu both by Puiu,
Niky and Flo by
Lucian Pintilie and
Offset by Didi Danquart. His debut as a film director:
Networking Friday (2007), a short codirected by Melissa de Raaf.
