AaRC.ro is present to most cinema events, either on location where the most recent Romanian productions are shot, or at festivals and gala premieres. Given that a small holiday is coming, we are suggesting below a Top 10 of the most viewed AaRC own productions available on Youtube.
1. Ana Maria Guran was a high school senior when she played in Lumea e a mea(The World Is Mine) (Nicolae Constantin Tănase), which brought her the Gopo „Youth Hope” Award in 2016. Currently, she is a student at the Theatre Faculty, Majoring in Acting, within UNATC „I.L. Caragiale”, Bucharest. 2. The interviews taken by us at the premiere of the HBO series Umbre(Shadows) are among the most viewed AaRC materials. Relu leads a double life: his family thinks he is a humble taxi driver, but in reality he earns his living as a recovery man for one of the local mobsters. Șerban Pavlu, who plays the role of Relu, talked to us about how he prepared for the leading part in Shadows:
3. Lumea e a mea(The World is mine) brought director Nicolae Constantin Tănase the Gopo Award for directing debut. The film was produced independently by Libra Film, with a small budget and without any financing from the National Filmmaking Centre (CNC). 4. De ce eu?(Why Me?) is the third fiction full-length feature by director Tudor Giurgiu, a political drama about the case of the prosecutor Cristian Panait. 5. America, venim!(America, Here We Come!), the full-length debut of director Răzvan Săvescu, is a road movie, the story of the American tour of a provincial theatre troupe. Ranking 5th in the Top 10 of AaRC clips is the interview with two actors, Adrian Văncică and Gheorghe Ifrim, who told us about the work on the filming sets:
6. In 2014, Cristian Tudor Popescu managed a Festival called Film and Propaganda. Cristian Tudor Popescu talked in the interview taken by Cristina Corciovescu two years ago about his work as such, and also about his career as a journalist and film reviewer.
7. The screenplay of the TV series Shadows was adapted by Bogdan Mirică (whose debut full-length feature was selected in the section Un certain regard, Cannes), after an Australian format. 9. Nico, the character played by Andreea Vasile in Shadows, is the person in charge with the well-functioning of a Bucharest mafia segment - prostitution. Andreea Vasile said that the parts she played in Shadows and Why Me? brought her the greatest professional satisfactions last year.
10. HBO produced three TV series in Romania, Shadows being the latest. The other two productions are Rămâi cu mine(Shall We Kiss) and În derivă(In Treatment), both adaptations after successful Israeli formats din Israel.
