Soldiers / Soldații. Poveste din Ferentari,
Ivana Mladenović`s feature debut, will be out on the big screen in the
cinemas of 18 cities in Romania, starting with Friday. Special screenings with the film crew members will take place in Cluj-Napoca, Sibiu, Iași and Bucharest.
The film can be watched as follows: in Bucharest (Cinema City AFI Cotroceni, Grand Cinema & More Băneasa, Happy Cinema, Cinema Elvira Popescu, Cinema Muzeul Țăranului, Cinemateca Union, Cinemateca Eforie), Bârlad (Cityplex Victoria), Botoșani (Cinema Unirea), Buzău (Happy Cinema), Cluj-Napoca (Cinema Victoria, Cinema City Iulius Mall), Constanța (Cityplex Tomis), Focșani (Happy Cinema), Gura Humorului (Casa de Cultură), Iași (Cinema Ateneu), Lugoj (Cinema „Bela Lugosi”), Pitești (Cinema Trivale), Sibiu (Astra Film Cinema), Sfântu Gheorghe (Cityplex Arta), Slobozia (Casa de Cultură), Suceava (Cinema Modern), Târgu Mureș (Cinema Arta), Timișoara (Casa Artelor) and Vaslui (Cityplex).
The film director Ivana Mladenovic and the co-screenwriter Adrian Schiop, who also plays the main part, will attend the gala screenings in Cluj-Napoca – Friday, February, 2, 2018, starting with 8:00 p.m., at Cinema Victoria (the event is presented within the TIFF Cinematheque), Sibiu – Saturday, February, 3, 2018, from 7:00 p.m., at Astra Film Cinema and Iași – Sunday, February, 4, from 7:00 p.m., at Cinema Ateneu.
The event at the Cinema Ateneu in Iași will be preceded by the launch of Adrian Schiop`s novel, “Soldiers”, starting with 6:00 p.m.
A special screening with the film crew members will take place in Bucharest, at the Happy Cinema, on Tuesday, February, 6, from 7 o`clock.
The production received a special mention from the jury of the 18th edition of Premios Sebastiane, a section of the San Sebastián Film Festival, which rewards the films that reflect best the values and the realities of the Lesbian, Gay, Transgender, Bisexual and Intersex (LGBTI).
