Sarajevo 2019: Interview with Cătălin Mitulescu in Variety.com

     Being present at the Sarajevo Film Festival with his latest feature film Heidi, Cătălin Mitulescu gave an interview to the journalist Christopher Vourlias, from Variety.com. Tonight, from 19,40, the world premiere of the film produced by Strada Film, will take place, in the international competition.
     An important representative of the Romanian New Wave, Mitulescu is known for his constant presence and for the awards he received at the Cannes Film Festival. He was invited to Sarajevo to promote his latest project, a police story about the human trafficking. One aging policeman (Gheorghe Visu) finds a prostitute (Cătălina Mihai). Finding her was easier than convincing her to testify. The film has a dark atmosphere, loaded with tension, emphasized by the 16mm film, that Marius Panduru used for this film.
     In the interview, Mitulescu says that the idea of this story came to him while doing the research for Loverboy; he co-wrote the screenplay with Radu Aldulescu. The aarc.ro team went  on the set during the film shootings.
