From April 11 to 28, 2019, the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv organizes in collaboration with
MovieMania, a new edition of the Romanian Film Week in Israel, at the cinematheques in Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Holon, Herzliya, Rosh Pina and Sderot. The following Romanian films will be presented:

The curator of the 2019 edition of the Romanian Film Week in Israel is Iris Lackner, a film critic, lecturer and manager of the
MovieMania by Iris Lackner. During the program of events of the Romanian Film Week in Israel, the Romanian Cultural Institute in Tel Aviv, in collaboration with MovieMania, organizes the conference “The history of the Romanian cinema, from the beginning until the New Wave” held by Iris Lackner, in Hebrew, on April 16, 2019, at 18:00, at the ICR headquarters in Tel Aviv.
During the conference, Iris Lackner will make an analysis of the history of the Romanian cinema, from the beginning until the present moment, with referring to the New Wave of the Romanian Cinema as well. The conference will include information about the first Romanian film productions, about the different creation periods in the history of the Romanian film, influences and sources of inspiration, awards and stars of the TV screen and of the big screen in Romania.
