11 Romanian productions and co-productions were part of the program of the 25th edition of the Sarajevo International Film Festival (August 16-23, 2019). Nine of them were included in the competition sections.
The Last Trip to the Sea / Ultimul drum spre mare, directed by
Adi Voicu, was part of the short film competition and it received a special mention of the jury.
The Greek-Romanian co-production
Mignon (directed by Sofia Georgovassili, producers Vasilis Chrysanthopoulos,
Irina Andreea Malcea) won the Artekino International Prize (6,000 Euros worth), in the program CineLink Co-Production Market.
Things Worth Weeping for /
Chestii pentru care merită să plângi, directed by
Cristina Groșan, won the Post Republic Award, in 50,000 Euro worth of post-production services, in the program CineLink Work in Progress Awards.
Holy Father (directed by
Andrei Dăscălescu, produed byr
Anda Ionescu) participated in the Docu Rough Cut Boutique and it won the IDFA Award, which offers an invitation for the IDFA 2019.
