The 11th edition of the KINOdiseea International Children Film Festival took place in Bucharest, from November 8 to 13, at Cinema Gloria, Cinema Eforie, Apollo Theatre 111, Happy Cinema and the Antipa Museum – Multimedia Hall and
it is currently taking place at the Jean Bart Theatre in Tulcea. The screenings in Bucharest brought 8,000 people to the cinemas.
The closing gala of the festival took place on November 13, at the Cinema Eforie, after six full days, dedicated to the best films for children and teenagers. The big winners of this edition, chosen by the jury made of the actors

Crina Semciuc and
Cristian Popa.
A First Farewell, Lina Wang`s directorial debut, was chosen the Best Film in the KINOdiseea Junior Competition, “for the flag it raises regarding the socio-political context in which we live in, because the education has an essential role in the developing of a society and for the power of the emotions it conveys.”
My Extraordinary Summer with Tess, the feature directorial debut of the Dutch director Steven Wouterlood, received a Special Mention for the
film which challenged the jury the most “to remember the great discoveries of the childhood, from the first love to the first disappointment. It is a fascinating film about freedom, loneliness and courage which combine with true friendship.”
The jury made by the teenagers Radu Strîmbeanu (a 11th grade student of the Basarab National College), Daria Vasile and Ilie Mitulescu (11th grade students of the Mihai Viteazul National College) chose
Giant Little Ones as the best Film in the KINOdiseea Youth 15+ Competition.
The Audience Award of this edition went to
Rocca Changes the World, the German film made by Katja Bernath that filled the cinemas.

Superbot (directed by Tiffany Compiano; Category: 6-9 years old),
The concrete jungle (directed by Marie Urbánková, Czech Republic; category: 9-12 years old),
Cum să iubești (directed by Alexandru Acsinte, Romania; category: 12-15 years old),
Irony (directed by Radheya Jegatheva, Australia; category: 12-15years old).
