One World Romania Documentary and Human Rights Festival is going to Brașov, during 13-15 May. The program includes 7 documentary features analysing critical issues in Europe and the Middle East – the refugee crisis, in/justice and domestic violence. The screenings will be followed by debates with local experts, and completed by the exhibition „Refugees' Route” of photographers Thomas Câmpean, Andrei Pungovschi and Mircea Reștea, and also by the exhibition of Brașov artist George Roșu, displaying drawings focused on the main themes of the Festival.
One World Romania Festival is Brașov is organised by ARTBURG, an Association set up by
Laura Căpățână-Juller and
Gabriel Spahiu, designed to conceive, organise and promote cultural-artistic projects. This initiative is supported by One World Romania Association, run by
Alexandru Solomon.
In March, 2016, the Association launched the project ARTBURG Evenings, consisting in the screening, every Monday night, of documentary features at HOF Cafe.
One World Romania is taking place at Hof Cafe and at the Reduta Cultural Centre. Admission to films and events will be free of charge.
