The film tells the story of Octav (
Marcel Iureș), an elderly man who returns to his childhood mansion, located somewhere in rural Romania, with the intention to sell it. Once he arrives there after an absence of ten years, a little girl who seems familiar to him takes him into a wonderful journey in time, back to the years of his childhood in order to help him rediscover the joy to live.
Octav will be internationally premiered on 3 September 2017, at Cinema du Parc, starting at 21:00.
FOC Section - Focus on World Cinema (America, Europa, Asia, Africa, Oceania) reflects the international vocation of the Festival. The purpose of the Montréal International Film Festival, reaching its 41st Edition, is to encourage cultural diversity, understanding between nations and to stimulate filmmaking on all continents through a qualitative development of cinema.
