The 46th edition of the UCIN Awards Gala 2018 will take place on May 28, 2018, at the Studio Hall of the National Theatre in Bucharest. The awards settled by a jury led by Dan Pița will be given for the productions of 2017. During the same gala, the Academic Awards will also be given: to the actor
Dan Nuțu, to the sound engineer
Anuşavan Salamanian, to the cinematographer
Călin Ghibu and to the film critic
Călin Căliman (In Memoriam).
In 20118, the Romanian Film Union celebrates its 55th anniversary. The Filmmakers Association was created in 1963, at the initiative of some legendary filmmakers, such as Victor Iliu, Ion Popescu Gopo, Mihnea Gheorghiu, Liviu Ciulei, Paul Călinescu and Mircea Drăgan. In 1990 it turned intothe Romanian Filmmakers Union.
The UCIN Awards Gala 2018 is an event organized by the Romanian Filmmakers Union, in partnership with the National Film Centre, financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Identity. The event is organized by ASIS MapaMOND AND Revolver Events and co-produced by the Romanian Television, TVR3. Media partners: Agerpres, Libertatea, România Liberă, Viva, Unica, Avantaje, Economistul, FILM, AaRC.ro, Radar De Media and EVA.ro
