Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds: “One More Time With Feeling” opens DokStation

     In the opening of the Dokstation Music Documentary Festival, on Friday, 23 September, from 20.30, at “Mihai Eminescu” Cultural Centre – Parcul Național, the film One More Time with Feeling, directed by Andrew Dominik, will be screened in premiere in Romania.

     The screening will be preceded, starting at 19.00, by a concert by the band The Mono Jacks and by several passages from the new documentary (work in progress), The Mono Jacks.
     Dokstation is a music documentary festival at its first edition and will be held in Bucharest, between 23-25 September 2016.
     The documentary by Andrew Dominik is at the same time a document of the recording of the 16th album by Nick Cave &The Bad Seeds, Skeleton Tree, and a requiem for Arthur, Nick Cave's son, who died aged 15, in the summer of 2015. 
     Initially built around the performance concept, One More Time with Feeling turned radically once Dominik began to focus on the tragic background of the album's writing and recording. The recording started several months before the tragic accident, and the filming was made, for 10 days, seven months after Arthur Cave's death.
     Filmed both in colour and black and white, 2D and 3D, the documentary is a raw, fragile and true testament of an artist who tries to find a new way in the darkness, a heart-breaking testimony to suffering and an overwhelming statement to helplessness when faced to a tragic loss. The documentary covers the playing of the 8 pieces of the new album, exceptionally shot by Director of Photography Benoît Debie and harmonised by Joakim Sundström sound designer, with interposed interviews taken to Nick Cave, to his wife, Susie Bick, their son, Earl Cave, and their lifelong friend, musician Warren Ellis, everything punctuated by Cave's reflections.
     The film will be released world-wide on 8 September, 2016, a day before the album's launching.
