The tenth Edition of the Next International Film Festival (7-11 April) will bring to the big screen the most interesting Nordic shorts of the latest years, as well as the latest feature by director Paul Thomas Anderson.
Arthouse Shorts will screen short features directed by directed by established filmmakers whose features are too big to be included in the competition, but too good to be left out of the Festival. This year's selection includes
Junun (directed by Paul Thomas Anderson),
Excursions (directed by Denis Cote) and
Take What You Can Carry (directed by Matt Porterfield), to be screened on Monday, April 11th, at Elvire Popesco, starting at 8.30 pm.
Within the Section: „Focus: Nordic countries”, we can find
Syndromeda, about a character who is trapped between dreams and reality,
A Simpler Life, which
explores the impact of technology on a middle-aged couple,
Artun, about a boy in search of his first kiss, and
Say Yes and Dance, a film whose main character goes to an interview for a job he does not want. The selection for this program was made by Massimiliano Nardulii, together with Jukka-Pekka Laakso. The screening will be held on Saturday, April 9th, from 6:30 pm, at Elvire Popesco Cinema.
