The Romanian Cultural Institute supports the Romanian filmmakers at the 2016 Berlinale

Before going to the Berlin International Film Festival (11-21 of February 2016), the Romanian Cultural Institute organized a press conference with the Romanian filmmakers who will be part of different sections of the Berlinale. Their presence in the festival is supported by the RCI. Those who attended the press conference were: Radu Boroianu, the president of the RCI, the crew of the film Illegitimate – the director Adrian Sitaru, the producer Anamaria Antoci, the actors Alina Grigore and Robi Urs – the actress Cosmina Stratan, who stars in the film Shelley, a Danish-Swedish co-producțion Danemarca-Suedia screened in Panorama, the actress Iulia Ciochină, who attends the Berlinale Talents and the film critic Mihai Fulger.
The feature film Illegitimate, a Romanian (Domestic Film)-Polish-French has its world premiere at Berlin, on the 13th of February in the Forum section. Romania will also be represented by the film critic Dana Duma, member of the FIPRESCI jury, in the PANORAMA section, the Romanian-American co-production, Hotel Dallas, made by Livia Ungur Huang and Sherng Lee Huang, in the Panorama Documents section and the Romanian-German co-production A Quiet Place, directed by Ronny Dörfler. Ruxandra Ghițescu (screenwriter / director) was selected at the Script Station, a section of the Berlinale Talents and the short film One Night in Tokoriki (directed by Roxana Stroe) in which Iulia Ciochină plays a main part will have its international premier in the Generation 14plus section.
The feature film The Miracle of Tekir, directed by Ruxandra Zenide, starring Dorotheea Petre for the main character will be screened at the Berlin International Film Festival in the European Film Market. The screening will take place on Wednesday, the 17th of February, from 11.30 a.m. at the CinemaxX Studio 14. The producers Alex Iordăchescu and Gabi Suciu will attend the screening.
