Today the Script Contest opens the submissions for the fourth edition. Organized by the Romanian Film Development Association from 2016, from this year, TSC has a new component – the residency.
This will take place in the Brașov county, at the
Cobor Biodeversity Farm, where for six days, the finalists will have the chance to develop their scripts at round table sessions, peer review sessions, daily sessions of writing and film screenings.
The new component of TSC, the residency, will be preceded by a series of
one-on-one sessions with the contest jury, during which the 9 finalists will receive feedback and necessary guiding to improve their screenplays. The final stage is PITCHin` DAYS, when the 9 finalists will present their projects in their final form.
Like last year, the pre-selection commission is formed by
Laura Mușat (producer/ founder ADFR/ project manager TSC) and Alexandra Safriuc (screenwriter/ project manager Masterclasses powered by ADFR/ Director Artistic ShortsUp). The members of the jury were already announced on the TSC website:
Radu Stancu (producer, deFilm founder),
Cristina Haneș (director) and
Vlad Ivanov (actor).
The award means 500 EUR and the film production. The money will be offered only to those screenwriters who don`t want to be also the director. The submissions are opened from December 12, 2019 to February 12, 2020 and they can be made exclusively on the
filmfreeway platform; the participation fee is of 10 EUR. Besides the screenplay, the participants should submit a synopsis. The rules and the selection criteria can be found on filmfreeway and on the TSC official website.
