Between 9-31 October 2017, 111 Film & Entertainment is setting up, with the support of the School Inspectorate of Bucharest Municipality, the second edition of the Visual Education Workshop GoBucharest, addressed to youngsters passionate about visual arts, cinema or photography. The participants to the workshop will be selected following a photography contest to take place from 12 September to 2 October 2017. GoBucharest is a cultural project funded within the Cultural Programme Bucharest – Participant Town.
Starting on 12 September, teenagers aged between 15 - 18 are invited to submit 10 photos of Bucharest, as seen through their eyes. The photos must be sent to concurs@gobucharest.eu, with the applicant's full name, age and contact data, until 2 October. Following the photography contest, 20 teenagers from Bucharest will be selected, who will take part to an intensive training resulting in 20 documentary shorts, having as theme the discovery and interpretation of Bucharest from a personal artistic perspective. The youngsters will go through all the stages of making a cinema production, benefitting from the expertise of professionals such as directors of photography
Tudor Lucaciu and Mișu Ionescu, editor
Roxana Szel or directors
Iulia Rugină and
Vlad Petri. Furthermore, the participants will have the opportunity to use GoPro cameras, shooting and editing their own visual creation under the guidance of the trainers.
The shorts made within the visual education workshop are meant to bring to light Bucharest's cultural identity, and will be screened at a special
GoBucharest Gala, to take place at the end of the workshop. The 20 shorts will be also made available on the platform
www.gobucharest.eu.
GoBucharest is the beginning of a journey towards the wonderful and fascinating world of cinema and visual arts.
Participation to
GoBucharest Visual Education Workshop will be free of charge, within the limits of available seats, based on submission and selection.
