The gala premiere of
Corneliu Porumboiu`s latest film,
Infinite Football/Fotbal infinit, takes place on Thursday, March 8, 2018, starting with 20:30, at the Peasant Museum Cinema. The premiere will be attended by some famous Romanian football players of the Golden Generation, like Gică Popescu, Florin Prunea, Miodrag Belodedici and Marius Lăcătuș. After the screening, the director Corneliu Porumboiu and the protagonist Laurențiu Ginghină will go up onstage and talk about the film.
The tickets can be bought from
Eventbook.ro or directly at the Peasant Museum Cinema.
The documentary starts from the ideas of a local clerk from Vaslui, Laurenţiu Ginghină, who has been concerned for more than 30 years with revolutionizing the rules of the football game. “I realized that behind Laurențiu`s stories and questions, there is a conflict between law and freedom, a theme I`ve always been interested in”, Corneliu Porumboiu, who also appears in the film, confesses.
