This year, the Filmul de Piatra Short Film Festival reaches its 12th edition, which will bring a major format change: it will move from the town Piatra-Neamț to Piatra Fântânele, in the campus of the Tășuleasa Social association. The new edition will have the label CAMP Edition and it will take place from July 25 to 28, 2019, in the middle of nature.
The five members of the jury are Marius Olteanu
, Judith State
(the director and the actress of the film Monsters./ Monștri.
), the writer Iulian Tănase, the photographer Vlad Eftenie and the documentarist Charlie Ottley (the director of the series Wild Carpathia
). They will choose the awards of the main competition of the festival (which includes fiction, documentary, animation, experimental and video) made by authors from Romania and Moldova.
The calls for entry for filmmakers and volunteers are opened until May 15, 2019. In order to be eligible, the films should have a maximum length of 30 minutes and should be produced in Romania or the Republic of Moldova in 2018 or 2019. They can be submitted through the platform FilmFreeway; the rules are available on www.filmuldepiatra.ro
. The volunteers willing to join the festival organizers can also apply here.
The program of the Filmul de Piatra, CAMP Edition will soon be revealed on the Facebook page of the event. Beyond the open-air screenings, there will be many events: live concerts, master classes, workshops and informal meetings with the members of the jury and the guests, but also the camp fire or the organized programs by the host of the festival, Tășuleasa Social: the School to walk up the mountain, the Pedagogical Forest and Via Transilvanica.
