Romanian films at the BFI London International Film Festival

London International Film Festival (5-16 October), at its 60th Edition, includes in its programme three of the best Romanian features of this year: Sieranevada (directed by Cristi Puiu), Bacalaureat/Graduation (directed by Cristian Mungiu) and Inimi cicatrizate/Scarred Hearts (directed by Radu Jude).
ICR of London is working together, for the seventh consecutive time, with British Film Institute (BFI), the festival's organiser, supporting the presence of directors Cristian Mungiu and Radu Jude to the Q&A sessions with the audience set after the screenings. The screenings will start on Thursday, 6 October, and will end on Sunday, 16 October, being held at the movie theatres Vue West End and Curzon.
Moreover, director Radu Jude is part of the Jury of the festival's official competition, alongside directors Athina Rachel TsangarI and Anthony Chen, actress Gugu Mbatha-raw and screenwriter Abi Morgan.
The three premieres are carrying on the program “Revolution in Realism. New Romanian Cinema”, the amplest Romanian film retrospective in Great Britain, held in June at BFI.
The programme also includes the Germany-Austria-Romania co-production Toni Erdmann (directed by Maren Ade), which was shot almost entirely in Bucharest.
