The Romanian Cultural Institute, together with the National Gallery of Art and the Romanian Embassy in the US, organized the Romanian Film Festival – Reinventing Realism: New Cinema from Romania, which will take place from June 1 to 16, 2019, in Washington.

The screenings will take place at the National Gallery of Art and they will be followed by Q&A sessions with important personalities of the Romanian:
Stere Gulea,
Daniel Sandu,
Ștefan Iancu,
Horațiu Mălăele,
Șerban Pavlu,
Mihaela Sîrbu,
Tudor Giurgiu and
Mihai Fulger.
During the festival, the following films will be screened:

Infinite Football / Fotbal infinit (directed by
Corneliu Porumboiu),
One Step Behind the Seraphim / Un pas în urma serafimilor (directed by Daniel Sandu),
Marița (directed by
Cristi Iftime),
Pororoca (directed by
Constantin Popescu),
Charleston (directed by
Andrei Crețulescu),
Moromeții 2 (directed by Stere Gulea).
