Exhibition “Refugees’ Route” in Brașov

During 13-15 May, One World Romania Festival will be in Brașov, with 7 exceptional documentary features focusing on current European and Middle East issues: the refugee crisis, in/justice and domestic violence.
The exhibition “Refugees' Route” will be opened on Tuesday, 10 May, at 17.00, at the Multicultural Centre of Transilvania University, 29 Eroilor Boulevard. The event will be attended by the exhibition's curators, Mădălina Roșca and Paul Arne Wagner.
“Refugees' Route” documents the entire European itinerary made by the immigrants last fall, when photographers Thomas Câmpean, Andrei Pungovschi and Mircea Reștea captured on film the whole route of the refugees from Greece, through Macedonia, Serbia, Hungary, Croatia, Austria to Germany.
This topic is also approached by the film opening the Festival, Lampedusa in winter, Lampedusa being the first stop for the African immigrants trying to reach Europe. The feature will be screened at the opening of OWR, on Friday, at 19.00, at Reduta Cultural Centre.
Each screening will be followed by a talk with experts on the respective film's topic, the Festival encouraging public debating and active involvement in society. Also, admission to all films will be free of charge, within the limit of available seats.
