Dumitru Carabăț, screenwriter, theoretician and professor, passed away yesterday evening, May 13.
Considered to be the founder of the Romanian screenwriting school, the professor, brought his important contribution to the Romanian cinema, both as a practitioner

As a theoretician, it should be mentioned that his books are still the most important for the Romanian screenwriting school - "De la cuvânt la imagine" (1987), "

Studii de tipologie filmică" (2000).
Lucian Georgescu, a screenwriter and the director of the Cinepub platform, a former student, collaborator and close friend of Dumitru Carabăț, signed
a touching obituary on behalf of the Screenwriting and Filmology Department at UNATC.
