Control N is presenting: „Dorian”, contemporary dance performance

Control N Cultural Association is producing the show ”Dorian, created by Oana Răsuceanu around a single actor-dancer, George Albert Costea, by mixing contemporary dance with multimedia projections. After producing last fall the performance „The Street Corner Telephone” (”Telefonul din colțul străzii”) (part of the educational module with the same title dedicated to Bucharest high schoolers), Control N is proposing the contemporary dance fans a new project able to take them to a deeply sensorial and poetic world, in a Bucharest on the threshold of the Apocalypse.
The show's concept, directing and choreography are signed by Oana Răsuceanu. With an intense activity as screenwriter, Oana graduated in 2007 a Masters' Degree Master in Choreographic Art at UNATC, and ever since then she has developed a series of theatre and dance projects, asscreenwriter / playwright, director and choreographer. George Albert Costea is member of the artistic staff of “Marin Sorescu” National Theatre in Craiova and is collaborating with theatres from Bucharest. The video projections were created by a team made up of director Iulia Rugină, director of photography Adrian Câmpean, architect Dan Adrian Ionescu and programmer Mizdan. Dan Adrian Ionescu made also the scenography for the show, and the music was composed by Mihai Dobre, founder member and vocal singer of Șuie Paparude band.
The show will be premiered on 30 October, at UNTEATRU in Bucharest, followed by representations on 31 October, 1 and 2 November at the same venue. Other three theatres – “Mihai Eminescu” National Theatre in Timișoara (5 and 6 November),”Marin Sorescu” National Theatre inCraiova (14 and 15 November), and "Toma Caragiu” National Theatre inPloiești (21 and 22 November) – will host the audience meeting with ”Dorian”.
“Through dance, video images and music, without a single uttered word, Dorian is in fact and above all a story about words. The ones we never say and, when we are finally brave enoughto say them, if we are ever brave enough for that, it is already a little too late”, Oana Răsuceanu said.
This is a cultural project funded by the Ministry of Culture, and co-funded by the National Cultural Fund Administration.
