The Romanian comedy
Two Lottery Tickets (directed by Paul Negoescu), the German thriller
Victoria (directed by Sebastian Schipper), that enraptured the audience and critics at the Berlin Festival in 2015, and
Belgica, the new drama by Belgian Felix van Groeningen, are among the surprises of Ceau, Cinema! third edition (14-17 July).
All three films will have special screenings at Capitol Summer Garden in Timișoara.
“Ceau, Cinema!” also brings into focus the Portuguese cinema, by scheduling a slection of the best recent shorts granted awards at the Curtas Vilado Conde Festival, Portuguese
director João Rosas being one of the Festival's special guests.
Among the Festival's programs, mention should be made of “The German Lesson” from the Independent Days Festival of Karlsruhe, of the animation series
Lotte (Estonia, directed by Heiki Ernits and Janno Põldma) and of the documentary
Traceroute (directed by Johannes Grentzfurthner), about the so-called “nerd culture” in USA.
The third edition of “Ceau, Cinema!” will be held between 14 – 17 July, in Timișoara and Gottlob, being set up by the Big Screen Association and the Cultural Film Association (Asociația Marele Ecran and Asociația Pelicula Culturală).
