On Friday, March 2, 2018, from 19:00, the Eforie (Jean Georgescu) Hall of the Romanian Cinemateque from Bucharest (Eforie street, no.2) hosts the 18th edition of the FILM Cineclub; during the event another important title of the Romanian film history,
Forest Fruit / Fructe de pădure (1983) will be screened. It is a drama signed by the important Romanian filmmaker
Alexandru Tatos (1937-1990).
Though it is less known than the director`s masterpiece,
Sequences / Secvențe(1982), which had also been previously presented by the FILM Cineclub,
Forest Fruit is a film which is definitely worth rediscovering. After the screening the Q&A will be attended by the film cinematographer
Florin Mihăilescu (a close collaborator of the director), the costume designer
Svetlana Mihăilescu, the actors Manuela Zaharie (Boboc), who played the main part and
Cornel Mihalache (a film director now). Alongside the guests, the film critic and professor
Dana Duma, editor-in-chief of the FILM magazine will be present, like usual and also other collaborators of the magazine edited by UCIN.
The FILM Cineclub is a series of events (special screenings of outstanding Romanian films, presented in new, restored versions and accompanied by discussions with special guests) organized by the National Film Archive – the Romanian Cinemateque, in collaboration with the FILM magazine, a trimestrial magazine of the Romanian Filmmakers Union (UCIN).
The access fee to these events is 3 lei.
