The third edition of Transilvania Shorts – the International Short Film Festival will take place in Sibiu, from June 29 to July 1, 2018, at the Gong Theatre (Alexandru Odobescu street, no.4) and at the Astra Film Cinema (Piața Mică 11).
Transilvania Shorts [TS] is an annual event, which was created with and for the artists, in order to offer them a platform for free, independent speech. The films in competition are evaluated by a team of experts in the industry and the winning short films will be screened during other next year`s similar events in Romania.
The third edition of the Transilvania Shorts will take place in Sibiu. TS2018 will present a large array of international short films, in the categories: Animation, Human Rights, Experimental, Fashion, Fiction, Stop Motion, Student. The 49 projects selected in the 2018 competition come from 21 countries and were selected out of more than 900 films submitted in the TS competition: South Africa, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, South Korea, Croatia, Switzerland, Finland, France, Germany, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Great Britan, Holland, Réunion, Romania, Spain, USA.
Prețul unui bilet este 10 lei. Biletele sunt disponibile pe toată durata festivalului, la Teatrul Gong si Astra Film Cinema, cu o oră înaintea începerii fiecărei proiecții. Rezervări se pot face la adresa de mail office@transilvaniashorts.ro sau la nr. de telefon: 0729 669 299.

The TS2018 jury is made of: Bogdan Orcula (film editor), Ștefan Crișan (music producer and sound editor), Sorin Baican (film editor, audio-visual producer), Bogdan Filip (cinematographer and photographer), Pop C. Augustin (animator, actor and puppeteer), Damian Groves (director, animator and artist), Bogdan Zelinschi (illustrator and animator) and Radu Munteanu, producer and film directot, the creator & and director of the Transilvania Shorts Festival.
This is an independent event, organized with the support of the TS2018 partners: Fundaṭia Ileana, Teatrul Gong, Astra Film Cinema, Popixar Studio, Ziarul Metropolis, Sibiul în imagini.
