Film Critics Association 2015 Award for Best Film Journalism

NexT Films Caravan had over 6,000 viewers in 2016

The NexT Films Caravan concluded its adventure throughout the country after registering 3,000 kilometres and 19 film nights under the moon in 10 cities.
Over 6,000 people from the towns on the Caravan's route responded to the invitation to picnic and cinema enjoying some of the best shorts presented at the NexT International Film Festival in Bucharest.
The third edition of the event carried on the Caravan's mission to bring the NexT films closer to a new audience, outside Bucharest, in towns where short films are rarely screened and where there are no open-air cinemas. By blending the concepts of picnic on lawns in the centre of towns and open-air cinema, the event managed to gather a numerous audience this year as well.
Packing 24 shorts in its luggage, NexT Caravan started in Piatra Neamț, on 30 July, and ended its journey in Oradea, on 23 August, visiting Piatra Neamț, Iași, Vatra Dornei, Cluj Napoca, Brașov, Sfântu Gheorghe, Sinaia, Timișoara and Arad.
The NexT shorts were grouped under four special programmes – Oscars Night, NexT Out in Space and NexT Romanian Shorts and Best of NexT.
The NexT Films Caravan was a natural addition to the NexT International Film Festival, whose mission statement is to promote locally, nationally and internationally the most innovative and creative short productions.
