On Friday, the organizers confirmed that the annual Cannes advertising market will not take place this year. The decision comes one month after the event which was supposed to take place in June was postponed for October. Nonetheless, the organizers decided to cancel the advertising market, with the new dates settled for June 21 to 25, 2021.
"As the impact from COVID-19 continues to be felt across the world on consumers and our across the marketing, creative and media industries, it has become clear to
us our customers` priorities have shifted to the need to protect people, to serve consumers with essential items and to focus on preserving companies, society and
economies” the organizers said.
