Café Society, the latest film by Woody Allen, which inaugurated the Cannes Festival in 2016, will be screened in absolute premiere in Romania in the opening of the second Edition of
Audience Award Film Festival, on Friday, 21 April, from 18.00, at the Romanian Farmer Museum Cinema.
From 21 to 23 April, Audience Award Film Festival brings to Bucharest a selection of films granted awards by the audience of big world festivals: Sundance, Toronto, Berlin, Venice and other festivals with great audience impact.
Set in 1930, the love story written by Woody Allen follows the road taken by Bobby Dorfman, born in Bronx, to Hollywood, where he falls in love, and back to New York, where he is thrown in the vibrant night life of the high society. The film stars in the leading roles Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart.
Café Society will be followed by the special
sing-along screening of the most awarded film at this year's Oscars and winner of the Audience Award at the latest edition of the Toronto Festival:
La La Land, directed by Damien Chazelle.
The first festival day will wrap up with a special concert by Ada Milea, Bobo Burlăcianu, Vladimir Ivanov and Alex Neagu, at the Farmer Club, from 22:00, a character concert, a play on texts with possible songs and instruments, a serious joke inciting a sad laughter and a joyful sadness.
